Chhattisgarh Road Development Corporation Limited
CGRDC was incorporated in 11th November 2014 under Companies Act 2013 as a wholly owned company of the Government of Chhattisgarh under Public Works Department. CGRDC has its registered office at Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
It has an authorized capital of Rs. 20 Crs (Rupees Twenty crores only) and paid-up capital of 4.9 Crs. divided into 49,00,000 equity shares of Rs. 10 each. Being a Government company, all the shares are held by the Government of Chhattisgarh.
The Corporation acts as a nodal organization for development, up-gradation and maintenance of State Highways as part of this core network. The present Government of Chhattisgarh contemplated for creation of a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to upgrade and maintain core road network in the district comprising of State Highways and adopt Public Private Partnership as an instrument of delivery of better roads where private / public operator shall be allowed to levy user charge or toll for a certain period of time.
Within short period of operation, the company has made good stride and has a fully functional office in Raipur. Several road development projects have been started on the field and many other projects are in the pipeline. All the compliances under statutory and regulatory framework have also been made on time by CGRDC.

Major functions of the Corporation are:
To construct, maintain, operate and manage Highways, Roads, Bypasses, Bridges, Over-bridges etc., entrusted to and vested with the Company by the Government of Chhattisgarh or any other Government/ Governmental agencies/ Organisations including improvement, strengthening and rehabilitation of road network identified as core network and to regulate and control the use of the roads vested in, or entrusted to it.
